The far-western region of Nepal, renowned for its pristine natural beauty and sacred landscapes, is a melting pot of cultural and social diversity. With each passing year, as the area experiences economic growth, opportunities for youth development continue to expand. In an effort to provide a platform for nurturing the future leaders of the province and the nation, the Sudurpaschim Model United Nations (SMUN) was launched in 2020 as part of the EIMUN initiative, also known as Road to EIMUN. This event is designed to uncover the untapped potential of young individuals and harness their leadership, diplomatic, and problem-solving skills to address global and emerging challenges.
After the successful conclusion of the second SMUN in 2023, the third edition of SMUN was held on April 19-21, representing the sixth stop on the Road to EIMUN campaign. The event attracted delegates from all 9 districts of the province, signifying a significant milestone in fostering strategic thinking and diplomacy among young individuals.
