The BirthPlace of Siddhartha Gautam (Buddha) is where this province gets its name from. One of the major tourist destinations of Nepal, Lumbini is also emerging in the sectors of youth empowerment and education. Hence in order to hone the skills of these emerging youths Lumbini Provincial Model United Nations Simulation was established. Youth Thinkers Society conducted the first-ever edition of the Lumbini United Nations in 2020. The event, although held virtually due to the massive interests shown by the delegates, became a monumental spark for us to organize future editions of LUNS.
Hence, Lumbini United Nations Simulation 2023 was conducted from February 17th-19th in Butwal of Rupandehi District Nepal. The official conference started with delegates engaging in a meaningful dialogue and debate on some of the world’s most pressing issues. Together the delegates managed to work and produce innovative solutions that might actually aid in making a more cohesive and balanced international community. The third stop on our road to EIMUN2023 was a delightful experience.
