Province 3 holds the capital of Nepal which is Kathmandu. Kathmandu is one of the popular cities well known for the culture of MUN’s. The ideals of accessibility are quite rich in Kathmandu. Hence the team believed the necessity of shifting to a region that is much overlooked, that awaits to show their full potential. Based on the accessibility of the participants, the district of Chitwan Satisfied our objectives to attain participation from every region of Nepal especially province 3.

Having the legacy of hosting more than 5 MUN’s in the past Chitwan Model United Nations has been a center for excellence for such events. With the motto of Connect, Co-create and Culture Youth Thinkers ‘Society- Chitwan has been aiding the students outside the valley with access to affordable and accessible Model United Nations. The previous Chitwan United Nations simulation was a 3 days conference held on 17th January to 19th January 2020. The conference was held in Tandrang, Chitwan.

Chitwan Model United Nations has grown with each successive edition and this new iteration was no exception. The much-anticipated Bagmati Provincial – Chitwan Model United Nations (CMUN) VI officially kicked off with a grand opening ceremony at Sauraha, Chitwan. The event was attended by nearly 50 delegates from high schools and universities across the province, as well as dignitaries from the local government, representatives from international organizations, and members of the press. The secretariat & participants rejoiced as they were immersing themselves in the powerful blend of culture, nature as well as diplomacy. Once again the event proved itself as an amazing and exemplarily excellent platform for youth empowerment. The second stop in our roadway to EIMUN was the best thing that happened since sliced bread.

We cannot wait for CMUN2024.
